Who is Samton Gina?

Samton Gina

My name is Samton Gina, I was born in Nelspruit but we moved to Barberton a couple of years after I was born. I was fortunate enough to have both of my parents involved in my life; I also grew up with both of my parents under the same roof but that wasn’t all of us. I am from a family of eight siblings but I only grew up with two brothers. The others were much older when I was born, they had already moved out the house.

I attended pre-school at Gummy Bears, which was also the first school I ever acted in front an audience, just a couple of parents and a few other teachers. From that day I knew I was going to become an actor, the passion grew in me. Even had the nerve to pull a couple of pranks towards family and friends.

The following year I started school at Barberton Primary which I cannot say much of all I recall was the first day of school and the play we had. I was sitting at a bar drinking beer with a white person, that’s all I can remember. The play wasn’t well written but I loved it I even recall the play itself and not the people in the play.

It wasn’t hard for me to make friends even though at that time I was very competitive and not very popular but some loved my attention. We even play violent games, such as two teams fighting against one another. The television played a major role in that, for the mere fact that some of us hard ‘super human powers’ we could fly or throw grenades from our hands.

Media has always been that thing I loved, I studied Photography in 2015 but I still didn’t understand what kind of Photography I loved. After two years I decided to try something different, Black and White Photography. After a couple of fails I later managed to get a hang of it.
