If it breaks easily, guard it, if it scratches easily, protect it and if it rusts easily, polish it. Standing in groups of people yet we still feel alone, having conversations and yet we still meditate on our obstacles that lie before us. Pondering about the good times but yet we still dwell on the tough times we once had. Having success in our hands yet we desire more than what we have. Being persistent with our craft yet we still fail on being patient with the outcomes. Giving blood their undivided attention yet we still feel mediocre. Pulling the right strings yet we still hear the wrong sounds. Applauding our rivals yet they are envious of us.
There are quite a number of obstacles we ought to face before we live the life we’re working towards, watching people turn their backs on you for the mere fact that you’ve distanced yourself from them and drawn closer to your dream. Hearing the utterly disturbing news of blood wanting to disown you because your dream is taking longer than what you anticipated. Getting phone calls from day ones that know what you’re dealing with just to check on your well being, if whether you’re still working on your craft. Witnessing thick blood choose sides between two siblings, deciding on who’s better than who. Receiving phone calls just to remind you of how rebellious you used to be or knowing that the only place you have is with your dream; being pleaded to pretend to be good in order for them to look better.
We had one goal and we failed dismally, before we had a dream or the audacity to chase this dream our goal was to be ordinary. To live like the others do, to do what they do and say what they say. We were born with a vision but we found a dream and grew enough courage to chase such. They placed us here meditating that we were going to hold their name up high.
Chase DREAMS – Situations can change, they can either get better or get worse. If we’re lucky enough they’ll get better.
