Bonfire

We sat around the bonfire drinking cheap wine while sharing deep thoughts, not the typical topics of who left who or who killed who in my hood, deep thoughts about making it tomorrow and about our careers. Let them into my own little bubble, let them into my privacy, don’t usually open up don’t usually talk about the inner self but found myself talking about what we all love and what we all desired in life. Kept everything positive, guys on guys’ conversation about the women and how they ought to be treated and how well they should be presented to us.

We watched the full moon with filled cups of cheap wine and minds filled with a tendency of wanting to become better, a tendency of uplifting the blood, the tendency of doing good regardless of the sweat behind it. The moment caught us by storm, we slightly zoned out to our little worlds but came back, we kept quiet for just a second pondering about what has been said, there was no awkward silence just a few guys’ lifting each other near the bonfire.

The goodbye was as hard as the hello
