I’d like to apologise for the times I said I’d call but didn’t, I’d like to apologise for the times I didn’t check on you in the morning, I’d like to apologise for not opening doors for you, I’d like to apologise for not carrying your bags, for the times I didn’t bother to ask about your day and I’d like to apologise for saying sorry all the time.

Remember when we used to... remember when I did that... remember when we drove to... remember when life was... remember when you smiled at... laughed at, remember the memories?

I once felt emasculated for being loyal, for treating you good and for caring about you. Not because I didn’t love doing it but because partially I’ve listened to my companions feelings rather to listen to my heart. I knew it was real, though it seemed blurry and far but I always knew it was real.

Remember the drunk... remember that party... remember that bag I bought... remember our first date... remember that wine we... remember the memories?

Never knew chasing dreams would make us lose so many people, not that we regret losing them but we learn and we see what we have to sacrifice in order to be who we always wanted to become. We tend to lose our happiness in pursuit of a better future not knowing if that will bring us more happiness or make us remorseful about life.

Drinking coffee while our relationships thirst, listening to songs while our partners lie on a strangers chest thinking about their tomorrow, writing for a living while our partners close chapters.

Remember when... remember the memories?
