They were nominated, this added much more joy and happiness, made them stress about their consistency and made them believe even more. They had prepared for this day for months, asking people in person and on twitter to vote for them, they were new in the industry which at times made them feel inadequate and some days made them feel as if they were the greatest underdogs.
Even with a tight budget they managed to look the part when it was time for the award ceremony, pulled over, walked in and felt welcomed. A couple of people won awards before they did, this added pressure on them, hoping they wouldn’t return home empty handed they said a silent prayer in their hearts.
“And the award goes to...”
At times we dream of these moments, we believe that we shall see these moments, the outcomes of writing all day. We picture ourselves tailored and receiving awards and being appreciated for what we’ve been doing for years. We live in the moment even when the moment is yet to come.
With anything that anyone might be doing today, without believing we’ll never archive it. We ought to put faith on our craft before we receive it. The pain and the sleepless nights are only temporally if we continue practicing and striving to be greater.
