Timeless art

Quite a number of people are puzzled with what black and white photography is “it’s not as eye catching” “it doesn’t strike me as much as colour does” I hear all that, I appreciate the opinions you might have. For the mere fact that puzzled individuals have the courage of asking about what I do instead of criticizing and pretending they know it all. Truth be told I don’t just take beautiful photographs but my goal is to give people something that will last, something with a piece of heart if possible. Not just a photograph you’ll have on your laptop or phone for just a day or two then see something better the following day.

With the kind of art that’s beautiful in our eyes, the kind of art that has the capabilities to last for years, the kind of art with a piece of heart from the artists themselves. What they love or what they feared, not just a beautiful photograph that will be forgotten one day.

When we tell people we don’t do our art for the money, the love of money, they are left puzzled. I admit we as humans need money to survive but we need happiness to live. We ought to chase what our hearts says is beautiful than forcing our craft to fit it when it doesn’t. If we had everything we desired for free, we’d still be writing and taking timeless photographs – that’s the difference between you and I.
