Being Self

My greatest fear is being greater than my expectation of being great, an expert in all citations in sight –
“You’re better than him” “They shouldn’t even be placed next to you, YOU’RE THAT GREAT!”
We practice with great precision, we work in silence praying that our craft speaks on our behalf, wishing that our craft voices out how we feel like deep inside. Beyond just thoughts and imagination, working in profound places, adding worth to the mediocre.
We tend to receive these gestures about our craft; we tend to listen to prayers directed towards us. People blowing our horns for the right reasons, we hear them cheer when we write and when we take photographs. They give our work worth.
Unfortunately this might go straight into our heads, this might even make us believe we’re better than most, and this might even place us on a higher horse.
