“Hey” “Hey, you good?” “Yeah I’m okay, how about you?” “I’m doing well thanks for asking” “I arrived safe, sister said I should greet you” “Thank you, you better behave that side” “I will, love you...” “I love you more...”
It is official that we’re leaving this place, this one place that has taught us so much and made us who we are today, this one place we call home. Exploring the whole of South Africa has never been so nerve wrecking, instead of being happy that we’re going to explore this place, we’re nervous, we know not if we’re the writers that make it in life or the photographers that make it in life. The hours we put into our craft would be pointless if we settled for less if we didn’t explore or if we didn’t exhibit our art.
Taking a stroll to a better place with high hopes of being able to go down on our knees for our careers, loving and missing the people we spend our hours with. Painting our feelings on pieces of papers and sheets of expensive canvases, dancing to the melody our thoughts produce for us, falling and loving our craft each and every minute we pick up the pen.
“I’m on my way” “I missed you, drive safe”
Hoping to return home smiling instead of returning home being the exact same person.
