Leaving a legacy

How I write is easier done than said –
How we love is easier done than explained, how we laugh is easier done than explained, how we care is easier done than said and how we live is easier done than explained.
We’re dunked in ink praying our left legacy will see poetry and untold stories from what we’ve left behind, praying with every ounce of breath that our vision is breathtaking and that our goals are worth celebrating. We’re not clubbing but we’re still taking shots talking about the summer time, we came unprepared for it eating junk food drinking coffee and still chasing what we call a dream.
We’re still fantasizing about a better tomorrow while we wait for the sun to rise.
We’re not the writers you compare yourselves too, we’re not the ‘great’ writers out there, and there are a lot of people who are better than us. We’re just working for the legacy.
“Dad was an amazing writer... his photography was shit though...”
