The dream

The dream is not given it is written –

With enough paint we can have a brighter tomorrow, with enough fuel we can reach tomorrow, with enough liquor we can wait for tomorrow, with enough music we can dance until tomorrow and with enough faith we can pray for tomorrow.

We’ve been writing for years praying that we see the light; we’ve been tossing a single egg shaped ball across the field hoping to see the light and we’ve given sweat searching for such a light when we’re the light and seeking validation on every corner when we’re the answers to the future.
