We tend to repeat tunes that allow us to relive the moments that take our breath away, the bliss times we believed life was to be cherished not the moments we’re living in today where half the time we’re trying to make ends meet. Constantly thinking about the people we lost trying to find who we really are, the individuals who left our castle while we were still soul searching. We’re drowning in our own thoughts trying to paint a future we could all benefit from and not the present where the mediocre like ourselves struggles to have our walls covered in art.
Take a pair of scissors, let us open up to the ones who own the rand, believe you me they’ll have our stories painted on their walls. Constantly learning how to survive the deep end, being star struck at people our age born with a silver spoon living afloat. Running to music for the mere fact that our parents never understood what we’re really dealing with, they told us to become slaves of society, tried to implement a minimum wage. How dare we accept such when we know we deserve more than a penny for our hard labour?
