Me to Me

You grew up not being able to verbalise how you felt, stuck in huge groups but were the only individual whose voice was never heard, the only individual who made sure the door was shut when tribulations came creeping in. I heard you cry... I vowed to keep you protected, I could’ve given you happiness, what you desired but instead I gave you mental health issues, I took away your self-esteem! I’m so sorry... I hope one that day you’ll find it in yourself to forgive... yourself, for all that you failed to do merely because of being too concerned of what you couldn’t control, the attention and the embarrassment. I never knew you were shy growing up; an introvert is what you used to call yourself.
At times I see your own insecurities cramping up, at times just being yourself made you blend and hide yourself and talent behind these groups. Now that you’ve suddenly found half the meaning to yourself you’ve thrown away every friendship you once had... I hope your coffee admires you as much as the individuals you shut out of your life.
Mental health and good coffee...
